  • His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir officiated the Divine Liturgy on the Patron feast day of the Moldovan Orthodox Church of St John the New of Suceava in the capital of Germany.

15 June 2025 – The First Sunday after the Pentecost was marked by a special spiritual joy for the Moldovan faithful in Berlin, Germany.

His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chișinău and All Moldova, officiated the Divine Liturgy on the patronal feast of the Moldovan Orthodox Church of St John the New of Suceava in the German capital.

Metropolitan Vladimir was joined in the celebration by His Eminence Tikhon, Archbishop of Ruza, the parish priest, Protopresbyter Ioan Dorosh, as well as a host of guest priests and deacons.

In his archpastoral address, Metropolitan Vladimir congratulated the faithful of the parish on the occasion of their patronal feast, highlighting that this church represents for them a spiritual home — a place where they find peace, ease the longing for their homeland, and nourish their souls with divine grace.

At the conclusion of the service, as a token of appreciation for his exemplary, sacrificial, and missionary work among the Moldovan Orthodox community in Berlin, Metropolitan Vladimir awarded Father Ioan Dorosh the “Saint Hierarch Gavriil Bănulescu-Bodoni” Order, Third Class, and the jubilee cross “Metropolitan Vladimir – 30 Years of Hierarchy.” Mrs Tatiana Dorosh, the priest’s wife, received the “Venerable Saint Parascheva” Order in recognition of her dedication to parish life.

The archpastoral visit of Metropolitan Vladimir to Germany was made at the invitation of Father Ioan Dorosh and stands as a living testimony of his fatherly love and care for Moldovan faithful in the diaspora.
