On September 10, 2023, on the 14th Sunday after the Pentecost, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, the First Hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, officiated at the consecration of the church and celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the parish of Saints Archangels Michael and Gabriel in Negureni, Telenesti district.
The celebrations began with the prayer of consecration of the place of worship after which the Divine Liturgy was officiated. Metropolitan Vladimir was assisted at the service by archpriest Marian Boldescu, Dean of Telenesti district, priest Mihail Ili, the parish rector, and an assembly of priests and deacons.
During the Small Entrance, the parish rector Mihail Ili was promoted to the rank of protopriest for his diligent work on the refurbishment of the church. Protopriest Mihail Ili, the confessor of Telenesti Church District and parish rector of the church of The Wonder of St. Arch. Mihail from Scorțeni village, Telenești region, was decorated with the order “Saint Hierarch Gavriil Bănulescu-Bodoni” of the second degree.
After the Divine Liturgy, a procession around the church with the reading of the four holy gospels and a Te-Deum Laudamus service was celebrated in thanksgiving to the Lord for all the blessings that take place in this parish, and then the Arch-pastor addressed a message of greeting and pastoral guidance to the community, congratulating the church-goers on the occasion of the consecration of the holy place of Negureni, an emblematic event for the history of the parish.
Metropolitan Vladimir wished all those present to keep the flame of faith alive in their souls and to spread the light of Christ’s teaching by their example.
