13 December 2020, on the 27th Sunday after the Pentecost, Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral in Chisinau.
Metropolitan Vladimir prayed together with the Cathedral clergy for the peace and goodwill among people, for health and for the healing of those in sickness.
The Sunday Gospel Reading revealed a story of the healing by the Christ of a woman who had been bent down for 18 years (Luke 13: 10-17).
The Sunday service coincided with the commemoration of Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called, who is also considered the illuminator of our ancestors. Metropolitan Vladimir congratulated the Cathedral cleric, archpriest Andrei Burlescu, on his Patron Saint’s Feast, wishing him long and blessed live in the service of Christ at the Holy Altar.
This was also a significant day for protodeacon Oleg Pascal, the Metropolitan Archives-keeper, who celebrated the 12th anniversary of diaconal ministry. Metropolitan Vladimir congratulated father protodeacon Oleg on this important event, wishing him to continue the service of Christ in the same exemplary manner.
In the end of the service, the metropolitan rendered his arch-pastoral blessing to the liturgical community, wishing them steady spiritual and bodily health.
