Parishioners of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker church in Flaminzeni community, Singerei district, experienced moments of spiritual joy Sunday, 19th October, when they were visited by His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova, who officiated the Divine Liturgy in the community’s church.
In the morning, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir was greeted at the entrance of the church by the parish rector, Archpriest Iuvenalie Coada, together with his family, the hierarchs, clergy, and gathered faithful.
Concelebrating with the Metropolitan were His Eminence Archbishop Marchel, Ruling Hierarch of the Diocese of Bălți and Fălești; His Eminence Archbishop Ioan, Ruling Hierarch of the Diocese of Soroca and Drochia; and His Grace Bishop Patrocl of Dondușeni, Vicra Bishop of the Diocese of Edineț and Briceni, along with invited priests and deacons.
On the occasion of his birthday, in recognition of his diligent service and devoted pastoral work in this parish, at the Small Entrance, the Metropolitan awarded the rector, Archpriest Iuvenalie, the right to wear the jewelled cross and mitre.
The liturgical responses were beautifully rendered by the archdiocesan choir of the Diocese of Bălți and Fălești, conducted by Archpriest Alexandru Paiul, as well as by the children’s choir of the host parish, directed by Mrs Irina Coada, the presbytera.
Following the Divine Liturgy, a Te Deum of thanksgiving was offered to the Lord for all the blessings bestowed upon this parish. Afterwards, Metropolitan Vladimir congratulated Father Iuvenalie on his birthday, expressing appreciation for the effort he has invested in the restoration of the Holy Church, and also extended his blessings and congratulations to all the faithful present for this momentous event in the life of the community.
In turn, Archbishop Marchel congratulated the entire community and presented a certificate of merit, noting that every benefactor of this church is considered a founder of this parish.
Archbishop Ioan likewise awarded Father Iuvenalie the diocesan medal “The Icon of the Mother of God of the Three Hands”, in recognition of his zeal and devotion.
At the conclusion of the celebration, the parish priest expressed his gratitude to His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir and to the hierarchs for their goodwill and for sharing in the joy of the feast with the faithful of the parish.
True to his pastoral generosity, Metropolitan Vladimir did not overlook the faithful present, offering them small prayer books and icons as spiritual encouragement and as a keepsake of this blessed encounter.
