On 5-12 June 2018, the Archpastor of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, is making a pastoral-and-missionary visit to the North of Italy, marking the 15th anniversary of Moldovan diaspora in the town of Fidenza, Italy.
Thus, on Saturday, 9 June 2018, Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Holy Trinity Church in Fidenza.
Numerous missionary priests and lay Christians, Moldova citizens living in this town in the north of Italy participated in the Divine Service.
Present at the service and meeting with diaspora members was the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Italian Republic Stela Stângaci and General Consul of the RM in Italy Serghei Goncearenco.
During the Divine Liturgy, the entire faithful community uttered thanks-giving prayers and lauds to All-Good God, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the diaspora parish in Fidenza.
During the Small Entrance, the metropolitan awarded to the parish rector, archpriest. Veniamin Onu, the 3rd degree Order of Holy Hierarch Gavriil Banulescu Bodoni.
Other church distinctions were awarded to parish clerics. After the Liturgy, a Thanks-Giving service was officiated, and Metropolitan Vladimir congratulated the parishioners and clergy on this important event in the parish life.
