  • His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the consecration of the altar dedicated to St. Irh. Spiridon of the church under construction “Synaxis of the Holy Apostles” in the town of. Codru

     

    On the twelfth Sunday after the Pentecost, the Metropolitan of Chisinau and All Moldova, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, officiated the consecration of the Holy Table in the altar dedicated to St. Hierarch Spiridon of the church under construction of the Synaxis of the Apostles in Codru, Chisinau.

    The Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova was assisted at the Service by the Metropolitan Secretary and Dean of Sector I church circumscription of Chisinau, Protopriest Vadim Cheibas, Protopriest Victor Tarita, parish rector, Archimandrite Vlasie (Ușurelu), abbot of Nicoreni monastery, and a group of priests and deacons.

    During the small entrance, His Eminence awarded two church distinctions to the parish rector, Fr. Victor: the right to serve the Divine Liturgy with the Holy Doors open till the Lord’s Prayer, and the right to wear Mithra, as a sign of high appreciation for the work done in the construction of the church and for dedicated pastoring of the faithful flock.

    At the end of the divine service, the Metropolitan addressed the parishioners with a word of blessing and gratitude for their contribution to the construction of this door to heaven – the Holy Church.

    We congratulate all the faithful of this parish, hard working and eager, enlightened by faith and prayer, under the protection of the Holy Apostles and St. Hierarch Spiridon, said the Metropolitan.

    Fr. Victor, the parish priest, thanked the Hierarch for the archpastoral ministry, for the goodwill and paternal love he always has for the Orthodox Church and its flock.

    The Christians present at the service had special joy of receiving from His Eminence Vladimir blessings, icons and prayer booklets,  for spiritual ascension and memory of this historic event in the parish life.
