  • His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir Celebrated Liturgically the 36th Anniversary of His Episcopal Consecration

    Monday, 21 July 2025, on the Feast of Kazan Icon of the Theotokos, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, the First Hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, celebrates the 36th anniversary of arch-pastoral ministry.

    His Eminence Vladimir officiated the Divine Liturgy was officiated in the Nativity of the Lord Metropolitan Cathedral in Chisinau, assisted by Vicar Bishops: His Grace Siluan of Orhei and His Grace Filaret of Capriana, protopriest Vadim Cheibas, Metropolitan Secretary, Most Reverend Archimandrite Nectarie (Gherman), Prorector for Education at the Academy of Orthodox Theology in Chisinau and monastic superior of Horesti Monastery, and numerous priests and deacons.

    His Grace Siluan spoke on behalf of the Synod of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, offering an extraordinary appreciation of merits of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, made manifest in constant care and assiduous work for the revival of Orthodox spirituality, promotion and protection of spiritual values in contemporary secularized world.

    In turn, Protopriest Vadim Cheibaș extended greetings on behalf of the clergy and faithful of the Metropolitan Cathedral, underlining the paternal care that His Eminence continually shows for the Orthodox Church and her faithful flock.

    Metropolitan Vladimir expressed his gratitude to all for their warm wishes and stated his intention, with God’s help, to continue fulfilling his archpastoral calling for the flock entrusted to his care. The Primate also offered special thanks to all those who, over the years, have contributed to the growth, revival, and flourishing of the Orthodox Church in Moldova.

    In recognition of their devoted work and responsibilities, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir awarded the auxiliary Bishops the “Order of Gratitude” as a special sign of appreciation and encouragement to continue their dedicated service for the glory of the Church and the spiritual benefit of its faithful.

    The liturgical responses were offered by the “Mihail Berezovski” Choir of the St Dimitrie the New Church in Chișinău, conducted by Mr Dimitrian Albot.
