To the monastic community of Petru Voda Monastery,
To the pilgrims of the monastic settlement,
To all the grieving brothers and sisters,
Most reverend Fathers and dwellers of the Holy Monastery of Petru Voda,
Beloved in Christ brothers and sisters,
With profound sadness have we learnt of the departure from this life of our kind and wise father Elder Justin (Pârvu), who had for years pastured and guided so many worshipers thirsty of spiritual soothing and consolidation.
In these times of uncertainty, when temptation and danger of spiritual collapse is encountered everywhere, Archimandrite Justin has been an intrepid confessor of the True Faith, firmly preaching fear of God and love of the neighbour. His example of unshaken faith inspired – and we are sure will continue to inspire – numberless believers willing to live in the name of God.
Among pilgrims who permanently visit Petru Voda Monastery are many Christians from the left bank of the PrutRiver, who brought the news of spiritual richness of the ever-commemorated Father Justin to our lands as well.
Weeping at the death of the Elder, in the wholeness of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, we, however, strengthen with the hope of resurrection and with the fact that the fighting Church has gained a fervent intercessor at the Throne of the Rightful Judge.
Presenting to You our sincere condolences, on behalf of the orthodox people of Moldova, we join the prayers of the reverend fathers and blessed brothers and sisters, for the repose of the recently departed servant of God Most Reverend Elder Justin.
