Monday, 25 January 2021, Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova, accompanied by the metropolitan secretary, archpriest Vadim Cheibas, made a work visit to the Diocese of Ungheni and Nisporeni.
The archpastor was greeted by bishop Petru of Ungheni and Nisporeni in the diocesan Cathedral. After a Te-Deum service at the icon of the Mother of God of Hirbovat, the metropolitan delegation was invited to the Diocesan administrative centre, were Bishop Petru presented to the first hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Moldova an activity report for the past 10 years.
Heads of diocesan sectors outlined the main activities during the mentioned period.
Metropolitan Vladimir thanked Bishop Petru for the presentation and organization of the event, appreciating the diocesan activity.
“His Grace Petru and the Diocese of Ungheni and Nisporeni represent a good model of activity of the entire Orthodox Church of Moldova”, mentioned the metropolitan.
