Between June 28-30, 2024, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, the Orthodox Church of Rev Parascheva in Olanesti village, Stefan Voda district, organized a program of activities dedicated to children, entitled “In the world of Orthodoxy”.
The event was attended by 81 children, who took part in seven educational and recreational workshops. The activities included: catechization sessions, origami, sweet cooking, painting, sports, excursions and museum visits, and more.
Under the guidance of the parish priest of the, Fr. Constantin Portărescu, and volunteers, the children learned about the “Parable of the Sower”, created felt flowers, made sweets and realized several artistic works.
The organized trips to SC “FARM-PROD” SRL and to the local museum gave the children the opportunity to learn more about the harvesting process and local history.
The program ended on Sunday, 30 June with the children participating in the Divine Liturgy, singing and offering gifts to the mothers present at the service.
The organizers of the activities are delighted to thank all those involved, including the administration of B. P. Hașdeu high school, SC “FARM-PROD” SRL, I. I. “Musat Sandel”, and all the volunteers, for their support in carrying out the educational activities. The activities enjoyed great success and positive impact, highlighting the creativity and ingenuity of the children.
