Metropolitan Vladimir welcomed at the Metropolitan Residence the Ambassador of Russian Federation in Moldova, His Excellence Farid Muhametshin. At the meeting issues of mutual interest were discussed, manely, the role of the Orthodox Church in keeping and development of positive relations between Moldova and Russia.

Thus, a special focus of the discussion was cultural and spiritual relations that unite the two nations, and that, in mutual opinion of the parties, should continue to play the same unifying role.

His Eminence Vladimir thanked Mr. Muhametshin for sincere friendship exhibited for the Orthodox Church of Moldova, hoping that bilateral relations will further base on mutual values.

In his turn, Mr. Muhametshin expressed gratitude to the Metropolitan for warm greeting, and said that the Metropolis of Chisinau and All Moldova continues to remain among  institutions that are highly appreciated by the Russian Embassy in Chisinau.
