With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, on 12 and 13 December 2025, on the occasion of the feast of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called, the Vicar Bishop, His Grace Bishop Siluan of Orhei, officiated the Vigil Service and the Holy and Divine Liturgy at the Monastery of the Holy Myrrh-bearing Women Martha and Mary in Hagimus.
Concelebrating with His Grace were the Very Reverend Archimandrite Andrei (Cotruța), confessor of the monastery, the Very Reverend Archimandrite Paisie (Cecan), abbot of the New Neamț Monastery, together with a host of serving priests and deacons.
Taking part in the divine services were Abbess Martha (Cușnir), the Superior Nun of the monastery, together with the monastic community, teachers and pupils of the “Grigore Grigoriu” Theoretical Lyceum, which is located on the premises of the monastery, as well as numerous faithful who came to honour the Holy Apostle Andrew.
After the Holy Liturgy, the hierarch drew the attention of the faithful to several aspects of the life and missionary work of the Holy Apostle Andrew, highlighting his role as a herald of the Gospel in our lands. At the same time, he addressed congratulations to the Very Reverend Archimandrite Andrei (Cotruța), the monastery’s confessor, on the occasion of the feast of his patron saint, also conveying the thoughts of peace, blessing and fatherly love of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir.
