With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, on Saturday, 15 November 2025, the “The Tournament of Friendship”, 2025 Edition, was held on the grounds of the “Dacia Buiucani” Football Club in Chișinău, bringing together more than 50 young volunteers. The event was organised by the NGO Credinta si Milostenie (Faith and Mercy) in partnership with the “Dacia Buiucani” Football Club and the “Oliva” Restaurant in Chișinău.
Four teams of volunteers competed in an atmosphere of friendship and joy. The event was honoured by the presence of Hieromonk Macarie Crudu, Chairman of the Synodal Sector for Social Activity and Charity of the Orthodox Church of Moldova and of the NGO “Faith and Mercy”, as well as Mr Ivan Goncearuc, Strategic Development Director of “Dacia Buiucani”.
At the opening of the tournament, Hieromonk Macarie conveyed to the young participants the message of blessing and encouragement from His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir. Following the competition, the Cup of the “Friendship Tournament”, 2025 Edition, was won by the team “TORȚA MEȘTERUL MANOLE” from Sălcuța, Căușeni District. Second place went to the team “ARTHOS” from Opaci, Căușeni District, while third place was obtained by the team “Venerable Confessor Sofian of Antim” from Chișinău. The team of the “KRISTIANIN” Club took fourth place.
The event concluded with awards, gifts, and a fraternal agape. Gratitude is extended to all partners and participants!
Such sporting initiatives, carried out under the protection of the Church, contribute significantly both to physical health and to the spiritual and moral formation of the younger generation.
