  • Metropolitan Vladimir consecrated the Church of St. John the Theologian in the village of Pereni, Rezina district

    His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir officiated the Consecration of the Holy Table and the Divine Liturgy in the parish of St. John the Theologian in Pereni community, Rezina district.

    Celebrating together with the hierarch were Protopriest Igor Cojocari, Dean of Soroca District, Archimandrite Ioan (Hangan), father-confessor of the monastery of Pripiceni-Curchi, protopriest Roman Grigorita, parish priest of the host community, and numerous priests and deacons.

    During the Divine Liturgy, at the Small Entrance, the parish rector, Protopriest Roman, was granted the right to wear a mitra. The following clergy also received ecclesiastical distinctions:
    – Protopriest Alexei Pozdîrca, parish rector of the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the village of Solonceni, and Protopriest Vitalie Rusu, parish rector of the Church of the Ascension of the Lord in Horodiște – the right to wear a cross adorned with precious stones;
    – Priest Serghei Jelihovschi, cleric of the Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God in the village of Sălcuța, Căușeni District – was elevated to the rank of Protopriest;
    – Deacon Igor Malai, cleric of the Church of the Protection of the Mother of God in Rezina – was granted the right to wear a double orarion.

    The liturgical responses were offered by the choir of nuns from Pripiceni–Curchi Monastery.

    The service was further adorned by the ordination of Hierodeacon Nectarie (Bălănici), a monk of Pripiceni–Curchi Monastery, to the rank of Hieromonk.

    Following the Divine Liturgy, a Te Deum of thanksgiving was celebrated to offer glory to God for all the blessings bestowed upon this parish. His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir then congratulated the faithful on this momentous occasion in the history of the community, presenting Metropolitan Diplomas to the church’s principal benefactors.

    In turn, Father Roman expressed heartfelt gratitude to His Eminence for his pastoral kindness and for sharing in the joy of the feast with the faithful of the parish.
