  • His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir officiated the consecration of the Holy Altar and the Divine Liturgy in the church of Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel in the village of Bușăuca, Rezina District

    The faithful of the parish of “Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel” in the village of Bușăuca, Rezina District, experienced moments of great joy on Saturday, 4 October, occasioned by the visit of His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chișinău and All Moldova, who came to consecrate the local church.

    In the morning, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir was welcomed in front of the church by Archpriest Andrei Perlog, the parish priest together with his family, the clergy, and the parishioners. The service of consecration of the Holy Altar then followed, performed in full accordance with the prescribed rite.

    Celebrating together with the hierarch were Archpriest Vadim Cheibaș, Metropolitan Secretary; Archpriest Igor Cojocari, Dean of Rezina; Archpriest Andrei Perlog, the host parish priest; and a group of priests and deacons.

    During the Divine Liturgy, at the Small Entrance, the parish priest, Archpriest Andrei, was awarded by the Hierarch the right to celebrate the Divine Liturgy with the Great Doors open up to the Cherubic Hymn and the Lord’s Prayer, as a sign of appreciation for his zealous pastoral activity and dedicated service in the parish. Archpriest Valeriu Morari, parish priest of the community of “St. Prophet Elijah” in the village of Otac, was granted the right to celebrate the Divine Liturgy with the Great Doors open up to the Lord’s Prayer, as well as the right to wear the Mitra.

    The divine service was further embellished by the ordination of the subdeacon Nectarie (Bălănici), a monk of Pripiceni-Curchi Monastery, to the rank of hierodeacon.

    After the Liturgy, a Te Deum of thanksgiving was offered to the Lord for all the blessings bestowed upon this parish. Metropolitan Vladimir then congratulated the faithful present on this memorable event in the history of the locality and offered them a diploma of merit, stating that every benefactor of this church is a founder of this community.

    In turn, the parish priest expressed his heartfelt gratitude to His Eminence for his kindness and for sharing the joy of the feast with the Christians of the parish.

    Once again, Metropolitan Vladimir did not overlook any of the faithful present, gifting them with prayer booklets and icons as a blessing, for spiritual strengthening and as a remembrance of this beautiful encounter.
