On the occasion of the feast day of the St. Demetrius the New Church in Chișinău, the parish community organized a large-scale philanthropic campaign dedicated to supporting members of the Moldovan Association of the Visually Impaired Persons. This solidarity initiative, led by Presbytera Ruxanda Cheibaș and blessed by the parish priest, Father Vadim Cheibaș, brought comfort and hope to those in need.
The campaign involved distributing packages of essential food items to visually impaired individuals, addressing their basic needs and encouraging them in their daily struggles. This act of support continues the tradition of active philanthropy at the “St. Demetrius the New” Church, where similar actions are organized throughout the year as a sign of responsibility and care for those in difficulty.
“We are delighted to see that our parishioners always respond with openness and generosity to the Church’s calls to assist others. Through such initiatives, our community grows in solidarity and takes on the role of contributing to the common good,” stated Father Vadim Cheibaș.
On behalf of the parish, we extend our gratitude to all who, through their generosity, have brought hope to the hearts of those in need of support. The “St. Demetrius the New” Church reaffirms its mission to stand by the vulnerable and encourages the entire community to actively engage in improving the lives of those in need.
