  • His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy in Dobrușa monastery

On the eleventh Sunday after the Pentecost (o the unmerciful debtor) and the commemoration of the Holy Martyrs Adrian and Natalia, September 8, 2024, His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and all Moldova, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the monastery of St. Nicolas in Dobrușa, Soldănești region.

His Eminence was assisted at the service by the Metropolitan Secretary, Protopriest Vadim Cheibais, and Archimandrite Petru (Tomacinschi), abbot of the monastery, as well as numerous priests and deacons.

At the Small Entrance, the Metropolitan awarded to the abbot Fr. Archimandrite Petru (Tomacinschi)  the church order of St Petru Movilă of IInd category, as a sign of gratitude for the work done in this monastery of particular historical importance.

During the Divine Liturgy, the Primate ordained inhabitant of this monastery, subdeacon Ilarion (Tronciu), to the dignity of hierodeacon.

With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, the sermon on the Sunday’s Gospel reading was delivered by Father Vadim Cheibais, in which was stated: “The fact that in the morning, evening and during the day when we say the prayer that we have learned from the mouth of our Savior Jesus Christ, we condition the forgiveness of our sins on the forgiveness that we offer or must offer from the heart to those who have wronged us, must be for us the essential teaching with which we leave today’s Holy and Divine Liturgy.

Let us behave in such a way, let us make such great spiritual efforts that we may be able to forgive from our hearts, as the Savior Christ asks us to do, all those who have wronged us if we wish to inherit the Heavenly Kingdom, which we cannot attain without being forgiven by God of the debt of our sins committed in this life.

Let us forgive those who have wronged us, knowing that God’s forgiveness of our sins depends on their forgiveness.”

After the divine service, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, together with the priests, officiated a commemoration service at the tomb of the venerable Archimandrite Damian, the first abbot after the reopening of the monastery.
