On Thursday, February 1, 2024, with the blessing of His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and all Moldova, Bishop Ioan of Soroca was accompanied by priest Marin Cij, chairman of the Synodal Sector of Spiritual Activities in Medical Institutions of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, in a visit to the Neuro-emergency and Neuro-recovery wards of the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery “Diomid Gherman” in the capital, meeting with the heads of the wards, Mrs. Olesea Odainic and Mrs. Angela Feodorovici, as well as with priest Vladimir Cozonac, parish rector of the church “Holy Great Martyr Demetrius” within this medical institution.
While in the hospital, the hierarch visited priest Oleg Rabii, clergyman of the Rezina diocese, and the abbess of the “Resurrection of God” monastery in Briceni, the abbess of the “Resurrection of God” monastery, Daniela (Mereuță), who are in for treatment and rehabilitation.
During the discussions, His Grace conveyed to the medical staff the message of gratitude of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir for the cooperation with the Orthodox Church to support people suffering from illness, and wished them God’s help for physical recovery and spiritual strengthening.
Next, Father Vladimir Cozonac, together with Priesbitera Luminița, presented the construction works of the holy place up to this stage, speaking also about the parish activities.
