The wooden church of the Monastery “Holy Myrrh-bearers Martha and Mary” in Hagimus, district of Causeni, celebrated its patron feast on Saturday, July 15, 2023, in honor of St. Stephen the Great, the prolific Prince of Moldova.
With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, Vicar Bishop Siluan liturgized together with His Eminence Sava, Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubasari, and His Eminence Nicodim, Archbishop of Edinet and Briceni. Abbess of the monastery, mother Marta (Cusnir), Archim. Andrei (Cotruța), the confessor of the holy monastery, together with the monastic community as well as numerous ministers and pilgrims, participated in the Liturgy.
This feast day offered a special opportunity to remember the luminous figure of Holy Prince Stephen the Great, a devoted fighter for the dignity of our faith and our nation, a generous and industrious builder who forged the image of Christ God in the depths of his heart, together with the love of Heaven and country.
