Thursday, 13 October 2022, His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and all Moldova participated in the session of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The session took place in St. Daniel Monastery in Moscow.
Inaugurating the session, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia, greeted the participants and outlined the main issues of the agenda.
The participants discussed 20 points of the Synod agenda related to the Church life. Among other decisions, it was decreed that Metropolitan Nestor, patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe temporarily hold the arch-pastoral seat of the Diocese of Spain and Portugal.
Our co-national, hegumen Petru (Pruteanu) was elected vicar bishop for Western Europe, with the honorific title “Bishop of Caffa”* (session register No. 102).
