Divine Liturgy in the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral in Chisinau, on the 28th Sunday after Pentecost
20th December 2020, on the 28th Sunday after Pentecost, Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral in Chisinau.
Liturgical responses were provided by the Cathedral Choir directed by Angela Angheni.
The Sunday Gospel Reading presented the story of the healing of 10 lepers (Luke, 17: 12-19). The holy apostle Luke mentions that Lord Jesus Christ was surprised that only one out of ten healed lepers returned to thank God. Following the Lord’s words and examples, we are called to praise and thank God for all good that we receive.
During the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Vladimir officiated diaconal ordination of Andrei Svatuica, appointing the clergyman to service in the Metropolitan Cathedral.
Numerous church-goers received Holy Communion during the Divine Liturgy.
