30 August 2020, on the 12th Sunday after Pentecost, Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral in Chisinau, in the presence of numerous church-goers.
The first hierarch of the Moldovan Church was assisted at the service by archpriest Vadim Cheibas, the Cathedral Dean, and the clergy of the holy shrine.
The Gospel Reading of the day referred to the conversation between Lord Jesus Christ and a young man who was seeking the Heavenly Kingdom (Mett. 19: 16-26). The young man’s question, “What good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?” – an essential question of any person seeking the life eternal, receives the Lord’s answer: “Thou shalt do no murder, thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness, honour thy father and thy mother, and, thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Following the Lord’s commandments is the way to salvation, but if one wants to be perfect, he or she should deny himself and fully dedicate own life serving God.
Thanks-giving service was officiated after the Liturgy, during which the Metropolitan prayed for the blessing of the pupils and students at the beginning of the school year.
