Thus, Friday, 17 July morning, Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova conducted the reading of the acathist hymn of the Protection of Mother of God in the court of the Dormition Church at the Gates of Chisinau, assisted by numerous clergy and pilgrims.
After the prayers, the metropolitan addressed a message of greeting and blessing to the participants in the Cross Procession, advising them to pray fervently to the Mother of God and our Lord Jesus Christ, asking for peace, wisdom, stillness and good understanding among people in Moldova. The Cross Procession is a form of prayer and calls all participants and witnesses to leave aside day-to-day cares and pray for the heavenly mercy for the country and its people.
