23 December 2018, on the 30th Sunday after the Pentecost, Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and Moldova celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral in Chisinau.
The arch-pastor was assisted at the Divine Service by father Vadim Cheibas, Cathedral Dean, and the synaxis of priests and deacons of the Cathedral.
The Sunday Gospel Reading (Luke 17: 12-19) related about Lord Jesus Christ healing of 10 lepers. This Evangelical story teaches us to be grateful to God for His mercy and all good granted to us.
Divine Liturgy is the highest expression of our thankfulness to God, and participating in the Eucharist, we partake in the suffering, but also in the triumph of the risen Christ.
During the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Vladimir ordained deacon Mihail Marin into priesthood. The young cleric was appointed to office in the church of Festelita, Stefan Voda district.
