The Metropolitan underlined the important role the Theotokos played in the salvation of the mankind.

“The Feast of the Entry of the Mother of God into the Temple calls all Christians to spiritual readiness for the Nativity of the Lord, showing that any meeting between man and God in a major event of celebration requires preparing, utmost attention both in spiritual and bodily matter”, mentioned the Metropolitan.

During the Divine Liturgy, many church-goers took Communion on this first and most important celebration of the Nativity Fast – Feast of the Entrance into the Temple of the Mother of God.
