On Sunday, 17th November, after the Divine Liturgy celebrated in the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir officiated a litany to commemorate the Orthodox Christians, victims of road accidents.
The day of 17th November was declared by the Ministry of Home Affairs a commemoration day of road accidents victims, and, traditionally, the commemoration service is officiated in Metropolitan Cathedral, following an agreement with the Ministry.
In relation to this, the Metropolitan decreed that services were officiated in the entire Diocese of Moldova, to commemorate all Orthodox Christians who died in such tragic circumstances.
His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir said that the Orthodox Church of Moldova not only prays on this day for the reposed victims, but also raises peoples awareness of the risk caused by irresponsible road behavior.
The Hierarch expressed hope that All-Merciful Lord hears our prayers and grand mercy on us, strengthening our mind in His unspoken wisdom.
