  • The Monastery of Holy Great-Martyr Theodore of Tyre celebrated its Patron’s Feast

    His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, arch-pastors of dioceses of the Metropolis of Chisinau and all Moldova, and numerous clergymen, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Monastery of Holy Great-Martyr Theodore of Tyre in the Capital of Moldova.

    At the Divine Service, His Eminence Vladimir, Their Graces, Bishops, the clergy, and lay church-goers, prayed to All-Merciful God for peace and prosperity of the country, for unity between people, and Heavenly Protection from all visible and invisible danger.

    After the Liturgy, the believers followed the Hierarch in a procession around the monastery, with Gospel readings, after which a thanks-giving Te-Deum service was celebrated. His Eminence Vladimir congratulated the believers and talked to all those present about the historical and spiritual importance of the Monastery of Ciuflea, both for Chisinau, and for the whole country.

    His Eminence mentioned that this monastic settlement has today worthy inhabitants who maintain with dignity the tradition of the Orthodox Faith, being good examples to the Christians who are so thirsty of alleviation and guidance.

    In his turn, Mitred Archpriest Teodor Rosca, the confessor and administrator of the Monastery, thanked His Eminence Vladimir for pastoral guidance and cordial congratulations, mentioning that with the help of God, together with the monastic settlement, he will further make assiduous efforts for the prosperity and glory of the Orthodox Church of Moldova.
