Sunday, 2 October, greeted by the clergy, representatives of the local public authority, and numerous church-goers, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir officiated the blessing services of the alley with monuments, inaugurated within a solemn festivity in the village of Corjova, Criuleni region.
Upon completing the consecration service, His Eminence delivered their pastoral message, highly appreciating the act of good will of those who contributed to the inauguration of these monuments of the classics of our literature: Ion Creanga, Grigore Vieru, Adrian Paunescu, and Ion Proca, who are rendering a strong message of the Faith, Motherland, and Nation to all of us, regardless of our age or social status.
In their turn, the Mayor of Corjova, Mr. Gheorghe Ojoc, thanked His Eminence for their willingness and message to the audience, underlining that this park will be a place of leisure and spiritual retreat, uniting everybody in the spirit of imperishable values.
In sign of appreciation of the efforts for the edification of this spiritual pieces of art, the Metropolitan rewarded Mrs. Gheorghe Ojoc, Mayor of Corjova, with the medal “St. Rev. Paisy Velichkovsky”.
Closing the event, the Metropolitan distributed to all those present icons with the recently beatified Moldovan saints: Holy Hierarch Gavriil from Capriana and Blesseed Agafia of Cuselauca, as well as prayer books.
