Known expert in the problems of East Europe, and International Relations professor at Shizuoka University, Japan, Mr. Shigeo Mutshushika, visited this morning the Metropolitan Residence, where he met the diocesan secretary, Mitred Archpriest Vadim Cheibas.
During the discussion, Mr. Mutshushika inquired about the relations of the Metropolis of Chisinau and All Moldova and state institutions, and transformations that these relations have had lately.
Fr. Vadim informed the guest about the current situation, and made a brief historical presentation of the relations between the Church and the State, highlighting the most important moments and evolution in this area. In this context, Father Vadim told the guest about the perspectives of social activities of the Metropolis of Moldova.
Professor Mutshushika was impressed by the dynamics of the recent developments in the relations between the state and social institutions, including religious organizations in East Europe generally, and in theRepublicofMoldovaparticularly, showing optimism regarding further transformations.
In the end, the guest thanked Father Vadim Cheibas for cordial hospitality, while the diocesan secretary expressed thankfulness to the Professor, for his willingness to share rich professional experience.
