With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, the gifts that had been collected in cemeteries on the Pascha of the Blessed were distributed among socially vulnerable families, as well as children in hospitals, placement centers, residential institutions, old people placed in asylums, and persons in penitentiaries.
Seminary students lead byChisinauTheologicalAcademylecturer deacon Andrei Irascu and members of the Association of Orthodox Christians Students lead by priest Maxim Radu-Tataru collected and distributed gifts to beneficiaries of a number of placement centers in Chisinau.
Easter cakes, sweets, other food products were offered by parishes of the Resurrection of theLordchurchsituated on theterritoryof St. Lazarus cemetery, All Saints church from the central cemetery, St. Blessed Parascheva church in Straseni, Negresti Monastery, Cojusna and Revaca villages.
Young volunteers visited hundreds of children from the residential institution of Straseni, placement centers “Prodox”, “Regina Pacis”, “Gavroche”, “Concordia”, Chisinau temporary placement center for street children, sharing with them much spiritual joy along with bringing them the so-much-expected gifts.
The Metropolitan administration sincerely thanks the parishes that involved in the collection of these gifts for the children left without parental care.
