  • On the Feast of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius, Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Resurrection of the Lord Monastery in Chisinau

    Thursday, 8 November 2018, on the Feast of the Great Martyr Demetrius the Myrrh-Streamer, Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Resurrection of the Lord Monastery on the territory of St. Lazarus cemetery in Chisinau.

    The arch-pastor was assisted at the divine service by archpriest Vadim Cheibas, metropolitan secretary and Dean of the First Church Circumscription of Chisinau, archpriest Zosima Toia, Dean of the Third Church Circumscription of Chisinau, archimandrite Irinarh (Costru), Monk Superior of Tiganesti Monastery, archpriest Nicolae Tudoreanu, dean and administrator of the Resurrection of the Lord monastery, and numerous other priests and deacons.

    At the Litany for the reposed ones, prayers were uttered for the life eternal of ever-commemorated archpriest Tudor Teodoreanu and of the reposed ctitors and charity-givers of monastery.

    Thanks-giving service was officiated after the Divine Liturgy, and Metropolitan Vladimir delivered arch-pastoral message, mentioning, among other:

    “Nowadays, when the faith in God is under serious attack from many sides, we must love the pure truth given to us by God, and do our best to bring others to this saving truth. There is much suffering around us, and we must have mercy of those in need, soothing their pain with our good acts”.

    The administrator of the monastery, archpriest Nicolae Tudoreanu, thanked Metropolitan Vladimir, donors and charity-givers of the monastery, and to the entire liturgical community.
