  • On the 26th Sunday after Pentecost, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the church representing the Orthodox Church of Moldova in Moscow

On the 26th Sunday after Pentecost, the fore-feast of the Entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple, H.E. Metropolitan Vladimir, participating these days in the celebrations of one century since the re-establishment of patriarchy in the Russian Orthodox Church in Moscow, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the church of the presence of OCM in the capital of Russia. Tomorrow, 4th December (21 November in the church calendar), on the Feast of the Entrance of the Mother of God into the Temple, the Moldovan parish in Moscow (situated on 8/2 c 4 Barashevskiy per., Moscow) celebrates its Patron’s Feast.

Metropolitan Vladimir, the rector of this parish, was greeted with much spiritual joy by the clerics and the parishioners of the church.

Concelebrating to the metropolitan were archpriest Vadim Cheibas, secretary of the Metropolis of Moldova, archpriest Anatolie Stefanov, Dean of Ialoveni church circumscription, and the parish clergy.

Bishop Ioan of Soroca, Vicar of the Metropolis of Chisinau and All Moldova, prayed in the holy altar along with the liturgical community.

When the service ended, Metropolitan Vladimir addressed a message of congratulation to the parishioners, underlining their exemplary unity and permanent love for the holy matters, and wished them to perpetuate our sacred values, even when they are so far away from the mother country.

We remind that between 29th November and 5th December 2017, a delegation from the Orthodox Church of Moldova, presided by Metropolitan Vladimir, is participating in the celebrations of one hundred years since the re-establishment of patriarchate in the Russian Orthodox Church.
