  • Metropolitan Vladimir consecrated the Protection of the Mother of God Church in Cruzesti, Chisinau

    On the 19th Sunday after Pentecost, 15th October 2017, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, the first hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Moldova, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Protection of the Mother of God Church in Cruzesti community, Chisinau municipality. During the service, the holy shrine was consecrated, after renovation.

    Concelebrating to the Arch-pastor was a group of priests, including archpriest Vadim Cheibas, the Metropolitan Secretary and Dean of the First Church Circumscription of Chisinau, archpriest Iurie Zagnat, Dean of the Fourth Church Circumscription, Chisinau, archpriest Vitalie Bruma, parish rector, and numerous other clergy from the neighbouring communities.

    During the Small Entrance, the parish rector, archpriest Vitalie Bruma was awarded the right to celebrate the Divine Service with the Great Doors open till the Lord’s Prayer, in sign of the arch-pastor’s appreciation of dedicated efforts for the renovation of the church. Archpriest Boris Papuc, rector of All Saints of Moldova Church in Chisinau was rewarded with the right of wearing Mitra.

    During the Divine Liturgy Metropolitan Vladimir officiated diaconal ordination of Rodion Storoja, a graduate of Orthodox Theology Faculty in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, who was appointed to office in the St. Nicolas Church, Chisinau.

    After the Liturgy, the praying community followed Metropolitan Vladimir in a procession around the church, with Gospel readings and prayers, and then a Thanks-Giving service was officiated. The metropolitan awarded arch-pastoral diplomas to the parish ctitors and donors.

    Liturgical responses during the service were offered by the Choir Gnosis, headed by theologian Sergiu Crudu.
