  • His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir blessed the Cross Procession around Moldova

In the morning of 2nd August, on the commemoration day of Holy Prophey Elias, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the parish of Tudora village (Stefan Voda), assisted by a numerous assembly of priests.

Tens of parishioners and pilgrims prayed together with the Metropolitan and the clergy, receiving the arch-pastoral blessing for the start of the Cross Procession around Moldova.

After the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence officiated a Te-Deum Thanks-Giving Service, praying for all participants in the pilgrimage.

His Eminence addressed a word of guidance and inspiration to the worshipers, talking about the vital importance of Cross Processions and the need to organize such activities more often in the times of temptation and test of our faith.

Receiving the blessing, the pilgrims, headed by the Hierarch, started off, with church banners and crosses, with icons and relics of Saints. They walked 12 km towards the village of Olanesti, where they were greeted by numerous priests from Stefan Voda and Causeni church deaneries, local public authorities, and villages inhabitants.

The endless line of pilgrims then headed towards the church of Olanesti village, where Metropolitan Vladimir proclaimed thanks-giving prayers, culminated with a brotherly agape.

We remind that the Cross Procession around Moldova will last till the 21st September 2013, on the Feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God.
