  • Graduates of the Orthodox Theology Academy and Liceum-Seminary were handed in graduation diplomas and made oath of faithfulness

    Monday, 17 June 2019, on the Feast of the Holy Spirit, graduates of the Orthodox Theology Academy and Lyceum-Seminary were handed in graduation diplomas. Traditionally, this event is marked with the celebration of Divine Liturgy on the Feast of the Holy Spirit that follows the Sunday of the Pentecost and Holy Trinity.

    After the Divine Liturgy followed by thanks-giving prayers, the liturgical community was greeted by Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova. In the presence of the Metropolitan Secretary, father Vadim Cheibas, the lecturers and teachers of the Academy and Seminary, Metropolitan Vladimir handed in the graduation diplomas and addressed message of arch-pastoral guidance.

    Metropolitan Vladimir, who is the Rector of the theological schools of Moldova, thanked the young people for their devotion and assiduity during the years of study, and for their respect for the teachers and lecturers who made efforts to plant seeds of spiritual wisdom and love for the sacred in their souls. The metropolitan expressed hope that this promotion of the Academy of Orthodox Theology of Moldova will follow their senior fellow-graduates in the consolidation of the good reputation of their alma mater and be devoted servants of God and of the Holy Altar, working for the salvation of the right-faithful people.

    The arch-pastor congratulated the faculty, conducted by the Vice-Rector of the Orthodox Theology Academy, archpriest Vetcislav Cazacu, underlining their devotion, professionalism, and high pedagogical reputation of those who had been labouring for years in the field of education of new generations of theologians.

    In their turn, the graduates addressed warm greetings and expressed their thankfulness to Metropolitan Vladimir for the care of the students of theological schools, underlined their respect and gratefulness to their teachers, appreciating their long patience and devotion to their cause.

    The objective of the theological schools is to contribute to the consolidation and unity of faith, promotion of Orthodox-Christian spirituality and church mission in the existing context of contemporary world.
