  • Consecration of St. Parascheva Church in Tohatin community, Chisinau municipality

    Sunday, 1st October 2017, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the church of St. Parascheva, Tohatin community, Chisinau municipality, assisted by numerous priests and surrounded by community members and guests.

    The group of priests concelebrating to His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir included archpriest Vadim Cheibas, Metropolitan Secretary and Dean of Chisinau Circumscription No. 1, archpriest Zosima Toia, Dean of Chisinau circumscription No. 3, archpriest Iurie Zagnat, Dean of Chisinau circumscription No. 4, archpriest Rodion Vrancean, the rector of St. Parascheva Church, and priests from neighbouring communities.

    During the Small Entrance, Metropolitan Vladimir awarded to the dean of St. Parascheva Church, archpriest Rodinon Vrancean, the right of celebrating the Divine Liturgy with the Great Doors open till the Lord’s Prayer, in sign of archpastoral appreciation of Fr. Rodion’s priesthood ministry and good administration of the parish. The same church distinction was awarded to archpriest Victor Tofan, rector of the neighbouring parish of the Nativity of the Theotokos in Colonita community, Chisinau municipality.

    Also during the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Vladimir ordained deacon Valentin Nalban, who was appointed to the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel parish in the village of Leuseni, Telenesti region.

    A Thanks-giving service closed the Divine Liturgy, after which Metropolitan Vladimir handed arhch-pastoral diplomas and other awards to significant ctitors and benefactors of the parish.
