On the 67th Victory Day anniversary, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, assisted by the Metropolitan Secretary, Archpr. Vadim Cheibas and Archpr. Octavian Mosin, participated in the commemoration ceremony at the “Eternity” Memorial complex.
State high-rank official, diplomatic corpus members, veterans, their relatives, and numerous Chisinau inhabitants and guests were present at the event, in order to express their thankfulness for the heroism and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought in the Second World War.
In this context, His Eminence Vladimir said the following: “The Victory Day is another reason for us to pray for those who fell on the battlefield for the sake of sacred ideals, fighting for their motherland and people. Let us ponder on the acts and lives of our predecessors, and pray to All-Merciful God that He endow us with the same courage and the same spirit of self-sacrifice. Let us pray for the souls of those who fell in mission, pray for the lives and health of those who are alive, pray for peace, quietness, and untroubled times”.
It should be mentioned that almost in all areas of the country, litanies were served for the repose of the faithful soldiers who fell in mission.
