The parishioners of the Metropolitan Cathedral came this morning to the holy church, to participate in the Divine Liturgy celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir and the priests and deacons of this biggest church of the country.
At the Divine Service, the Hierarch ordained deacon Eugen Burlac into priesthood, appointing him to serve in the church of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel in Zubresti village, Straseni raion, and awarded him the first church distinction – the right to wear Epigonation. Subdeacon Ioan Ursu was ordained deacon and appointed to serve in the Metropolitan Cathedral, being awarded the right to wear Double Orarion.
The two servants of the Holy Altar expressed their deep gratefulness to His Eminence, for the honor and trust they had been treated with, promising that they will dedicate all their strengths and lives to the service to God and His Church.
The Metropolitan wished them to be worthy of their high mission, guided by the teaching of the Gospel in everything they do.
The spirit of Christmasdom was felt by the church-goers, who listened to and intoned beautiful ancestral carols along with the Cathedral Choir, uniting with the ancestors of our nation in bringing the blessed news of the Nativity of Christ.
