On the feast of the translation of the relics of St. Nicholas, the parishioners of St. Nicholas church in Milestii Mici, Ialoveni, headed by the parish rector Mitred Archpriest Emanuil Brihunet, Chairman of the Metropolitan Department of Church Architecture and Painting, greeted His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, who came to share the joy of the feast with the church goers.
During the Divine Service, in deep solemnity of the feast and the Archpastoral service, the Metropolitan rewarded father Emanuil with the dignity to celebrate the Divine Liturgy with the Holy Doors open till the prayer “Our Father”, in sign of high appreciation of pastoral activity.
After the Liturgy, the church-goers followed His Eminence Vladimir in a cross procession around the church building, then the Metropolitan addressed to the faithful community a message of greeting and pastoral guidance, wishing them to enjoy all their lives the intercession and spiritual care of St. Hierarch Nicholas, to give due honor to the saint and follow his God-blessed acts. The Metropolitan thanked father rector and the parishioners for their warm hospitality, urging them to remain the same good Christians with beauty in their souls, to follow the pastoral advice of Fr. Emanuil, in order to live God pleasing life.
In his turn, Father Emanuil Brihunet thanked His Eminence Vladimir, on behalf of all parishioners, for the parental care and guidance, mentioning that the Orthodox Christian community of Milestii Mici village will continue to be obedient to the Lord and the Hierarch, and will do all their best to implement by word and act the Gospel commandments.
The rector also thanked the district dean, Mitred Archpriest Anatolie Stefanov, the top administration of Ialoveni raion, in the person of the raion President Mr. Nicolae Andomachi, the Mayor of Milestii Mici Mr. Lilian Carmaru, and all those who permanently help the Church and the Christians who considerably contributed to the organization of this historical service with the participation of the Hierarch of the Orthodox Church of Moldova.
His Eminence Vladimir then distributed calendars and icons to the children present in the church, as memory of the Archpastoral service.
