The church of the Ascension of the Lord that is in the Northern neighborhood of Orhei town marked its 10th anniversary since the consecration, opening its doors wide in a cordial welcome for His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, greeted by the father dean of Orhei church circumscription, Archimandrite Siluan (Salaru), numerous clergymen and lay church-goers.
At the Divine Liturgy the rector of the church, Fr. Rostislav Postica, was rewarded with the right to celebrate the Divine Liturgy with open Holy Doors till the prayer “Our Father”, in sign of appreciation of his zealous activity in the promotion of faith and illumination of people, as well as for good administration of the parish.
Ctitors and charity-givers of the parish were also given various church rewards.
This was a very special day for Vasile Gavrilita, who was ordained deacon. His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir gave him pastoral advice that will help deacon Vasile in his sacred mission.
After the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence Vladimir and the clergymen present at the feast celebrated Thanks-giving Te-Deum service, and then congratulated Fr. Rostislav on his birthday, wishing him to continue his mission as obedient, zealous, hard-working, wise priest, strengthening the church-goers in piety and faith, guiding them in spiritual deeds.
