  • Archpastoral Divine Liturgy celebrated in the Holy Annunciation Church of Chisinau

     

    On the Feast of Annunciation, Chisinau church that bears this name opened wide its doors to welcome hundreds of parishioners who came to participate in the feast Divine Liturgy, celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir, assisted by a big group of priests and deacons.

    In the atmosphere of great spiritual elevation, the rector of the parish, Mitred Archpriest Victor Mihalas, was awarded high church distinction – Order of Saint Stephan the Great, for the good guidance of the faithful flock, entrusted to his spiritual guidance. His Eminence Vladimir also rewarded Archprist Petru Stratan, clergyman of the Holy Annunciation church, with the medal of St. Stephan the Great, for spiritual efforts for the prosperity and glory of the Orthodox Church of Moldova.

    In this special day, deacon Andrei Morari was ordained priest for the church of the Nativity of the Theotokos in Zaicani village, Criuleni raion. His Eminence Vladimir heartily congratulated the young servant of the Holy Altar, on this high mission, wishing him to devote all his life for the glorification of All-Mighty God and illumination of Christians.

    After the Divine Liturgy, a Thanks-giving Te-Deum service was officiated and then His Eminence Vladimir consecrated an impressing Crucifix recently installed at the entrance into the church court-yeard.

    In what followed, the Hierarch spoke to the faithful flock, congratulating the Christians present at the celebration, on this beautiful feast, thanking them for supporting the father-rector in making so many God-pleasing achievements in this historical church situated in the heart of the capital, and for living a worthy example to the coming generations of Christians.

    The Dean of Chisinau Church Circumscription number 1, Mitred Archpriest Vadim Cheibas, also congratulated the faithful community, mentioning their input for the maintaining and embellishment of one of the most beautiful church buildings in the city.

    In reply, father Victor Mihalas thanked them, on behalf of the parish, for warm words and wishes, ensuring His Eminence of further sonly obedience and devotion to spiritual ideals.

    In the end, numerous ctitors of the parish were rewarded with Archpastoral diplomas and awards.
