In the First Sunday after the Holy Pascha, called St. Apostle Thomas’s Sunday, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Nativity of the Lord Cathedral in Chisinau.
The clergymen assisted the Arch-Pastor at the Service, in the presence of the church-goers present at the Liturgy, giving glory to Jesus Christ, sharing the joy of the miracle of Resurrection of the Lord, and hoping with humility and prayer in the hearts for heavenly protection and salvation of souls.
Strengthening and receiving spiritual food, the Christians listened to the Hierarch’s sermon about the event commemorated today, about correct celebration of the Pacha of the Blessed ones, and about the need of prayer for our reposed brothers and sisters.
The church-goers were called to pray fervently for the souls of the reposed ones, to give alms, and not to transform this holiday into a day of excesses and feasts, but rather work so that all their acts are driven by pure and high intentions.
In the end, all those present received the arch-pastoral blessing, after which they peacefully left the place of worship, to bring the joy of Holy Resurrection of the Savior to those reposed.
