  • Arch-pastoral celebration in the Nativity of the Theotokos Church in Antoneuca community, Drochia region

    Thursday, 2nd November, 2017, on the commemoration day of Great-Martyr Artemius of Antioch, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy and consecrated the Nativity of the Theotokos Church in the community of Antoneuca, Drochia region.

    The Arch-pastor was assisted at the Service by Archpriest Vadim Cheibas, Metropolitan Secretary and Dean of Sector 1 Chisinau church circumscription, Archpriest Pavel Vuluța, Dean of Drochia church circumscription, Archpriest Andrian Cepoi, parish rector, and many other clergymen from neighbouring parishes.

    During the service, Metropolitan Vladimir awarded high church distinction to the parish rector, Archpriest Andran Cepoi – the right of wearing mitra, in sign of devoted efforts in the strengthening and good administration of the parish, and pastoring of the entrusted faithful flock.

    At the report of the Dean of the circumscription, numerous priests from Drochia Deanery were also awarded church distinctions, in sign of appreciation of dedicated ministry and service for the glory of the Orthodox Church of Moldova.

    This Divine Liturgy was very special for the student of the Moldovan Orthodox Theological Academy, deacon Ioan Chisălița, who received priesthood ordination, being appointed by the Metropolitan to the parish of Archangels Michael and Gabriel in Stârceni, Floresti.

    At the end of the Service, the Metropolitan, followed by the synax of priests and deacons, and accompanied by the praying community, made a Cross procession around the church building, with hymns of the feast and Gospel readings.

    Thanks-giving prayers followed, after which Metropolitan Vladimir handed arch-pastoral diplomas and church awards to prominent ctitors and sponsors of Antoneuca community.

    The Metropolitan thanked all parishioners for their efforts and care of their shrine, advising them to continue exhibiting love for the Lord’s temple, leaving good spiritual inheritance to the coming generations.

    Father Rector Andrian cordially thanked the arch-pastor for sharing the spiritual joy with the liturgical community of the Nativity of the Theotokos parish, assuring the Metropolitan of further devotion, to the glory of Christ and prosperity of His Church.

    Numerous children, present at the celebration, received prayer books from the Hierarch, in the memory of today’s Feast and for spiritual joy in Christ.
