Thursday, 14 February, 2019, Agreement of Collaboration between Metropolis of Chisinau and all Moldova and the Union of Officers of the Republic of Moldova was signed between Metropolitan Vladimir and General Victor Gaiciuc, President of the Union of Officers.
The event was held in the Metropolitan residence, in the presence of Vicar Bishop Ioan of Soroca, Metropolitan Secretary, archpriest Vadim Cheibas, archimandrite Nicolae (Rosca), Chairman of the Synodal Sector of Pastoral Mission within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Defence, and Law-Enforcement structures, and a group of military priests and members of the Union of Officers.
The agreement was drafted in accordance with the traditions of our ancestors and ever-commemorated princes, like Saint Stephen the Great, and in the light of spiritual values of the Orthodox Church in our country, for the purpose of promotion of faith and patriotism. It is intended to improve the effectiveness of activities in areas of competence and mutual interest, in the light of legal principles, objectivity, and mutual cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, Metropolitan Vladimir awarded church distinctions to a group of veterans.
