  • 100 years since the consecration of the Protection of the Mother of God Church in Ciniseuti, Rezina

Saturday, 2 September 2017, H. E. Metropolitan Vladimir celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the parish of the Protection of the Mother of God in Ciniseuti village, Rezina region. Numerous church-goers, from young to old, gathered in the holy shrine to greet the Archpastor of the Orthodox Church of Moldova and share the joy of the hierarch’s prayer in Christ our Lord.

The parishioners of Ciniseuti are celebrating today a century’s anniversary of the consecration of their parish monumental church.

During the Divine Service, the rector of the parish, archpriest Alexandru Bordian, was awarded by Metropolitan Vladimir a high church dignity – the right of wearing Mitra, in sign of appreciation of zealous work and ministry in the entrusted parish, and guidance of the faithful flock on the way of salvation. High church distinctions were also awarded to other clerics of Rezina deanery, in appreciation of their pastoral ministry.

This was a very special service for deacon Alexandru Reabov, who was ordained priest by Metropolitan Vladimir, and for young graduate of the Theological Seminary of Chisinau, Ioan Moraru, who was ordained deacon.  Entrusting this high sacramental mission to the newly ordained, His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir wished the new clerics a devoted ministry, as worthy successors of the Apostolic mission, dedicating their entire lives to the service of our Lord Jesus Christ.

After the Lord’s Prayer, the parishioners followed the Archpastor in a cross procession around the church, and listened to the Metropolitan’s congratulation message on the 100th anniversary of their church consecration.

Ctitors of the church were awarded church distinctions in sign of deep appreciation of their effort and support for the prosperity of the Orthodox Church.
